The Community Jury.

A new way for the community to weigh in on difficult calls. Not a mod role. Not a daily commitment. Just members helping guide fair outcomes when it matters.

The role

What the
Jury does.

Lightweight, occasional, and focused on outcomes — not enforcement.

Vote on difficult decisions

When a call is genuinely hard — not a clear rule violation — Jury members vote to help reach a fair resolution.

Review edge-case situations

Posts and disputes that don't fit neatly into the rulebook get a closer look from people who actually use the sub.

Guide fair outcomes

Through discussion and polls, Jury members help the mod team land on decisions the community can actually trust.

This is NOT

  • A moderator position
  • A role with enforcement powers
  • A daily or heavy workload

This IS

  • Occasional, lightweight participation
  • Voting only — no actions taken directly
  • Open to any eligible member
